Meaning: a thing that is almost impossible to find

Example:

Searching for a house without address in Sai Gon is like looking for a needle in a haystack.

the grass is always greener on the other side

Meaning: said about people who never seem happy with what they have and always think that other people have a better situation than they have

Example:

People living in Sai Gon and Ha Noi are always jealous with each other, which is comprehensible as the grass is always greener on the other side, you know.

to beat about the bush

Meaning: to talk about something for a long time without coming to the main point

Example:

By and large, Saigonese are straightforward; they don’t like beating about the bush.

to go bananas

Meaning: to become angry, crazy or silly

Example:

The blazing heat in Sai Gon these days can make you go bananas.

(in) broad daylight

Meaning: (in) the clear light of day, when it is easy to see

Example:

In some parts of Sai Gon, there are robberies in broad daylight, even in a crowded street.
